When you use Snipster, we may collect:

• Account information: name, email, phone number
• Booking data: appointments, services booked, reviews left
• Location data: city/area for salon discovery (only with consent)
• Device and usage data: browser type, pages visited, timestamps
• Payment metadata: transaction references (we do not store card numbers)

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Provide and improve the booking service
• Send booking confirmations and reminders
• Calculate and manage your Snippoints loyalty balance
• Display relevant salons and services in your area
• Prevent fraud and ensure platform security

3. Data Processing & Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (our database provider) with encrypted connections. Data is processed in the EU/EEA region. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit.

4. Your Rights (Swiss nDSG)

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG), you have the right to:

• Access your personal data we hold
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Delete your data (right to be forgotten)
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to data processing for marketing purposes
• Withdraw consent at any time

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. Analytics cookies are only placed with your explicit consent.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. After account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days. Booking records may be retained for up to 3 years for legal/tax compliance as required by Swiss law.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers:

• Supabase: Database and authentication
• Resend: Transactional email delivery
• Vercel: Website hosting and CDN
